Who we are
TogoBlacklist is a service that lets restaurants record and share phone numbers associated with fraudulent or abusive takeout orders, and lets consumers dispute a listing about their own number. If you have questions about this policy, contact togoblacklist@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account information from restaurants that sign up — name, email, business details, and business-verification information.
- Reported phone numbers and related report details submitted by restaurants using the service.
- Phone numbers submitted for verification when a consumer files a dispute, so we can send a one-time verification code.
- Usage information such as lookups performed, for billing and abuse prevention.
Mobile numbers and SMS
We do not sell mobile phone numbers, and we do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Mobile numbers you provide to receive text messages are used only to deliver the messages described below, and are shared only with our messaging provider for the purpose of sending them.
Message frequency. Verification codes are sent only when you request one — typically one message per dispute you file. If a restaurant you ordered from has enabled order-status notifications, you may receive occasional messages relating to an order you placed; these are not marketing messages and are not sent on a recurring schedule.
Message and data rates may apply. Carrier message and data rates may apply to messages you send or receive.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that sender. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not prevent you from filing or continuing a dispute by other means — contact togoblacklist@gmail.com.
How reported numbers are shared
Separately from the mobile numbers described above, the core function of this service is that a phone number reported by one restaurant may be visible to other restaurants using TogoBlacklist. A number becomes visible beyond the reporting restaurant only when that restaurant chooses to share it, or when it is corroborated by other restaurants. Reports are visible to participating businesses, not published publicly.
If you believe your number has been listed in error, you can file a dispute. Disputes are reviewed by a person.
Service providers
We share information with providers that operate the service on our behalf — including hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and SMS delivery. They may use the information only to provide those services to us.
Retention
We keep account and report information for as long as an account is active and as needed for the service, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Verification codes are short-lived and expire within minutes.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information about you by contacting togoblacklist@gmail.com. Account holders can edit or delete their account from their profile settings.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
